The furzedown Festival Big Day Out on 18 June was a fantastic day despite the cloudy weather; the afternoon got very busy with crowds enjoying the music and entertainment from local groups and we sold lots of Heyland & Whittle goodies, bric-a-brac and lovely plants – including the popular hand-made Furzedown window boxes.
It was a great boost to our efforts to raise funds to open a chill-out room for young people with cancer in St Georges hospital.
