Thanks to the staff at Bloomsbury, the room looked great and they really saved the day when one of the tables caught fire just before the guests arrived – they put it out and relaid everything without any fuss!

The lucky winner of a weekend at the Bloomsbury hotel – Dave Sollis – was chosen by Sally Light, the chief executive of MNDA.
We all really strutted our stuff and showed everyone how to have a great time and raise an amazing amount of money – nearly £7000 on the night!
The Bloomsbury Ballroom looked beautiful – thanks to Belinda’s mum, who did the flowers and the management who were so helpful. We had a delicious three course meal, (I really enjoyed the Guinea Fowl) defiantly had too much to drink but was well oiled to get the dancing going – the Firebirds Function Band was good and we danced until midnight.
There were competitions – Heads & Tails to win a meal at Brady’s Fish Restaurant plus the prize draw to win a Mark Warner holiday for two to Corsica which included flights, accommodation, meals and sports – thank you Tim for donating the prize and congratulations to Rachel Bowden who had lucky number 152.
The Charity Auction was fantastic and made lots of money, our auctioneers Phoebe and Jay were very good, it was very exciting! We even had a last minute lot from the hotel manager Michael who gave us a Golfing day at Wentworth.
Thanks too for prizes – diamond earrings from Schroder of Wallington, a villa holiday from Lisboncoastcottages, Heyland & Whittle goodies, tea on the terrace with Sadiq Khan, meals at The Trinity restaurant and Hideaway Jazz Club, tickets to Goodwood revival event, a portrait by Lucinda Denning , Tea at any Handpicked Hotels and a lovely mirror from E A Wates
